Your convenience is our priority. Because of this, we will partner with your elevator maintenance company so you don't have to experience the hassle of being the middle-man.
Inspection requirements vary by state, county and city and can sometimes be confusing. Letcher’s ECI, LLC is here to help you navigate through the inspection process from beginning to end. We want to help you in any way we can to make sure that your elevators and escalators stay in full compliance with your AHJ. So if you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to us to discuss those with us. We service the entire Kansas City Metro area, Kansas and Missouri.
Letcher’s ECI, LLC helps you monitor and manage your inspection due dates. Elevator and Escalator inspection requirements vary by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Each state, county and city have different requirements. So whether you are in our Kansas servicing area or our Missouri servicing area, we work with your Elevator Maintenance Company to schedule your inspections. Letcher’s ECI, LLC inspectors will check in with your building personnel, meet with your Elevator Maintenance Provider and witness them perform your elevator inspection. We will complete a thorough inspection every time and provide you or your onsite representative with a copy of our inspection report, as well as your elevator maintenance company. In the event that any violations are noted, we are here for you. Letcher’s ECI, LLC inspectors are happy to go over the report with you and instruct you on the next step toward correcting any violations.
Some violations require re-inspections be completed. In the event that one or more of your units are in need of a re-inspection, Letcher’s ECI, LLC lets you know that a re-inspection is needed. We also communicate with your Elevator Maintenance Company what repairs are needed, so that we can get your unit(s) re-inspected and compliant as soon as possible.
Letcher’s ECI, LLC will complete the inspection process by providing the required documentation to the Authority having Jurisdiction over your area and your AHJ will then issue you a certificate.
A complete inspection includes
Inspection Authorization Agreement (IAA)
Letcher’s ECI, LLC will not schedule our inspectors or allow them to access a location without written permission from our customer(s) first. We use what is called an Inspection Authorization Agreement (IAA) to ensure that both the customer and our company are in agreement when conducting business. We provide each customer with an IAA, which provides both of us with information needed to conduct an inspection and allow Letcher’s ECI, LLC Inspectors to fulfill our obligations as related to the agreement. The IAA gives Letcher’s ECI, LLC inspector’s permission to not only schedule your elevator inspection with your elevator maintenance company, but it also gives our inspectors permission to be on the property and witness the inspection. We offer a one, two or three year term where the cost of the inspection is indicated in the agreement. Your price will not change, for the term of the agreement our customer chooses. This also makes our customers aware of the cost of a re-inspection, if required.
Letcher’s ECI, LLC acknowledges that our customer’s time is important. We accept the IAA electronically via Email, via Mail, or onsite.
